In Cheyenne, Wyoming, it is illegal for local citizens to take a shower on Wednesdays. A person constructing any public building that is worth more than $100, 000, by law must spend at least one percent of the total costs on artwork. Those are two of the laws in Wyoming deemed by some online to be stupid. They are not the only ones.
The law about artwork specifically calls for public buildings built with state funds that costs at least $100, 000 to have artwork valued at least one percent of the total cost of the building inside.
Another law some deem to be stupid in Wyoming forbids you, if you sell or buy rubber, or work with it in any way, from dealing with an intoxicated person.
You can be sentenced to a year in prison for drinking a martini in a sawmill. If you get drunk in a mine you can also be sentenced to a year in prison.
You will be breaking a law in Wyoming, that some deem to be stupid, if you wear a hat in a place of amusement, including a theater, if the hat obstructs the view of another person.
You will be breaking another law if you are a junk dealer and you deal with an intoxicated person.
You will be breaking the law if you are intoxicated and you ski. You will be breaking another law if you are drunk and go skydiving.
If you fail to close a gate over a river, you can be fined $750. In fact, you can be fined for failing to close any fence, any place in the state that is over a river, stream, ditch, or private road.
You will be breaking a law if you fish with a machine gun or any firearm in Wyoming.
It is illegal in Wyoming to spit on the walls of a public library.
You will be breaking the law if you take a picture of a rabbit during June.
If a woman is drinking alcohol in Wyoming, she may not stand within five feet of the bar.
In Newcastle, Wyoming, it is illegal to have sex inside a freezer.
In Jackson, Wyoming, you may not spit on the sidewalk.
