They are good for two years. Lessons are offered by Certified parachute Instructors. The landing pad is by their 6, 400 square foot hanger- padded indoor packing, camping and showers. More information can be found at or call (540) 943-6587.

Another unusual activity is ballooning. Soaring Adventures of America Inc. offers exciting balloon rides, soaring glider rides. They have 30 years of experience. For example try the Great American Hot Air Balloon Ride. It has room for 1, 2, 3, 4 or more people. To begin, with the crew chief will escort you to the launch site where the balloon is being inflated. The balloon ascends and floats between 500 and 1, 000 feet. When the balloon lands, their will be a champagne toast. The ballooning experience takes 3 hours. Call 1(800) 762-7464 for more information or check out http://www.800soaring.com for more information.

How about uncorking Valentine's Day by visiting a winery. Boordy Vineyards offers two great events for Valentine's Day. Fond of Fondue takes place February 14, 2010 1-5 p.m. Sample their award winning wines as well as tasting cheese, caramel and chocolate fondues. Also there will be toasting marshmallows over an open cauldron. You also will be sipping hot Wassail. It is $15 for adults. . In addition, there will be live music by Dan Deckman.

Boordy Vineyards hosts Romance after dark February 13 and 14 2010. It is held between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. It will be a candlelit evening with will provide fondue as well as colored feathered boas for the ladies. It is $20 per person. Tickets are available online at http://www.boordy.com/events.html or at the gate. The winery suggests that advance ticket purchase is strongly suggested, because this event sells out quickly.
