15 Free Things To Do In San Diego For The Entire Family
It is a blast living in San Diego because there are many fun and exciting activities to participate in all year round. Vacationing in San Diego is great because there are many free activities that will keep the entire family entertained morning, noon, and night. Here are 15 free things to do in San Diego year around and for the entire family.
1. If you like the water then, head off to see San Diego's many beaches; at the beach people can swim, collect sea shells, or just lay out in the sun. All of San Diego's beaches are free to the public.
2. La Jolla is Spanish for "the jewel", and at La Jolla Cove people can see a sunset over the ocean. The colors of the sunset are beautiful like sherbet or a rainbow. 3. Seaport Village is a great place to walk around and view the boats out on San Diego's harbor. People can also window shop and listen to hours of free entertainment at Seaport Village. 4. San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter is a great place to see Victorian architecture. The Gaslamp Quarter is also filled with art galleries and boutiques. 5. Flying a kite can be done in San Diego as well as in England, in the movie Mary Poppins. This can be done at Mission Bay Park. 6. Balboa Park is a great location to enjoy a free organ concert at the Spreckles Organ Pavilion. The Organ Pavilion has been a San Diego landmark since 1914. I am a music lover so I visit this attraction often. 7. Old Town in San Diego represents much of San Diego's rich history. Old Town has many historic buildings such as a blacksmith shop, Stewart House, and the oldest schoolhouse in San Diego. 8. If people love to bike or jog then, please visit Mission Bay Park's many trails because while jogging or biking people can enjoy the scenic views of San Diego. 9. Since I watch the Olympics every two years, I recommend visiting the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. This center training fields, tracks, and athletic dorms.
