Tandem Skydiving: 5 Essentials You Must Know To Choose The Right Instructor

This article deals with how to choose a skydiving school that will attach you securely to a properly trained, knowledgeable instructor as you jump from a plane 3 miles high, with good gear of course. We also cover more sentimental topics, like a video of you witnessing all the glory that is skydiving that you can watch and relive over and over again.

1. Contact a representative of a school you are interested in skydiving with and have a list of questions available.

  • Make sure you are diving with a USPA, and therefore FAA approved skydiving instructor. They are rated from A through D, with D being the most experienced.
  • Make sure you are diving with instructors who will be able to point out impressive landmarks and can give you a little bit of history beforehand so you can enjoy your sky dive even more.
  • Choose someone with experience. Many instructors have made thousands of successful dives. These are the kind of instructors who love the sport and can anticipate most problems. Reward those who have a good record and reputation by choosing them do book your skydive. With skydiving businesses, it might also be helpful to see how long a company has been operating and how often it has changed management. This will give you a very clear idea to the type of people you are interested in skydiving with.
  • If you are interested in videotaping your dive, be sure to check out videos made by the instructor so you can see how worthwhile it would be.

A tandem instructor will be attached to you the entire time and will manage the parachute so that all you need to do is jump and feel the rush that only skydiving can give.

With a relatively small amount research beforehand you can guarantee a safe and incredible adventure skydiving in Las Vegas. All you have to do now is follow these steps, set a date and have a blast.

After you've skydived you will walk a little taller and smile a little wider. With this guide we hope you have gained a clear understanding of the key points to look for in a skydiving company.
