The Kinds Of Skydiving That Are Not So Popular

Freestyle and Freeflying are just one of the few types of skydiving out there however they are not the only ones. These are not known by many as they are not covered by the media.

Being a beginner requires you to know about the kinds of skydiving that are not so popular as well because maybe someday you'd like to take up a type of skydiving that is not very well known.

Sky surfing

This category is even more intense than the usual skydiving experience. The person attempting to perform sky surfing is wearing a board which is attached to the skydivers feet.

Sky surfing is thought to be difficult because having a board fixed to your feet is very difficult to manage. More so even standing while being attached to a board would require a vast amount of experience which could only be learned through free flying.

After you have become a pro at sky surfing you will be able to perform various tricks such as perform rapid rolls and various other acrobatic stunts. You would need to have an auxiliary partner with you who would film the stunts that you perform similar to Freestyle skydiving. It is also possible to detach the board while diving but however it can create problems for people below due to this reason not many skydiving clubs allow this.

BASE Jumping: As Close As It Gets

Here comes the BASE Jumping. The name itself derived from the structures divers use to jump. This is the most dangerous and an extremely difficult sport, it involves tall buildings and various structures which are used for jumping. Furthermore, bridges, mountain peaks, and antennas are also used. Divers need to be exceptionally skilled. They need control over their mind, their heart, and huge confidence.

Since there is a chance of being collided with the structure, or hurt badly on the ground, divers need to take extra measures to avoid such harmful accidents. There have been many casualties reported in the past few decades. The complicated procedures and huge risks have already suffered the lives of more than a hundred BASE jumpers.

wingsuit Flying: Flying In Style

A most recent skydiving is wingsuit skydiving. A winsgsuit is a new invention which allows the skydivers to put on a traditional designed suit that has various webbings stitched.

When this wingsuit is worn the skydiver is being pushed by an airfoil. This allows the diver to have an even better amount of power over his falling velocity and direction that does not seem possible in usual conditions.

However this type of a dive would require you to carry a handheld computer in order for you to be able to record the speed and amount of distance that has been travelled. The slowest speed that anyone has ever been successful with is 25mph according to records. Once you are at a desired height you are required to unzip your wingsuit's arm webbing in order to open your parachute.

Wingsuits can usually be found with base jumpers this is because when one is wearing this he has the ability to slow the freefall of 60 seconds to a longer time period of 3 minutes.

None the less, this kind of skydiving is only to be attempted by very skydivers who have a lot of experience and have the required skill. It is recommended that you have done a lot of dives usually up to a hundred before you decide to take up this sort of skydiving exercise.

Landing Where You Had Planned To

The purpose of this sort of skydiving is to land as close to the target area as possible. It is usually done alone by skydivers and the landing part is given the most importance.

What is the freestyle skydiving video with the song "someday" by Flipsyde?
It was on myspace a long time ago, and i loved it, but cant find it now. It is sweet, these guys parachute along the side of this mountain, and they make these smoke trails.
