Tandem Skydives Enjoy The Thrills of Sky Diving

If you are new to skydiving, then in all probabilities you have to go for tandem skydives. Tandem skydiving involves the sky diving instructor to be attached by a harness to the skydiving student. This ensures the safety of the student and also the instructor can properly give instructions continuously during the diving process. There are different kinds of equipment used for a tandem jump as compared to the traditional skydiving. The first and most important thing is that a drogue parachute is used which is bigger than the the traditional parachute. It is designed to support two people and can range from 360 square feet and above. It is noteworthy that there is a need for reserve parachute which is required by the FAA. The parachute is equipped with an automatic activation device which is used to deploy the parachute when the skydiver is in a free-fall.

People going for skydive need to wear casual clothes as comfort should be your top priority. The clothes should not be restrictive and allow you to feel comfortable during skydive. The ideal clothes in summer are shorts and T-shirts and tracksuits with long sleeve t-shirts in winter. People are given skydiving jumpsuit to wear over their clothing. People have the option to choose their jumping height, which is normally between 9000 and 14000 feet. In the former, the free fall lasts for less than 30 seconds and in the later the free-fall lasts for 60 seconds.

A common thought which people have is that whether skydiving is not a safe sport. Such people need not worry as it is safe because in tandem jumping the instructor is attached to the back. Skydiving clubs use the best equipment and follow the rules and regulations that govern the sport. The instructors are well-trained and have a huge experience in sky diving. There is a legal requirement that all the skydiving clubs need to follow. The skydiving equipment should contain the two serviceable parachutes. If the first parachute does not open then the second parachute will be deployed. The skydiving equipment has Automatic Activation Device (AADs) that deploy the second parachute instantly if the parachutes are not deployed by the Tandem master. It is also seen that weather conditions are favorable for tandem jump. The skydiving clubs wait until the weather conditions are normal and then only proceed with the skydiving. Thus, all measures are taken to ensure that sky diving is safe and people enjoy it thoroughly.
